The Swiss National Guarantee Fund (NGF)

The Swiss National Guarantee Fund (NGF) covers the damages caused in Switzerland and Liechtenstein by unidentified or uninsured motor vehicles, trailers or bicycles. The NGF also intervenes in case of bankruptcy of the competent Swiss or Liechtenstein MTPL insurer and fulfils the tasks of the compensation body according to Art. 79d SVG.

The NGF is financed through a contribution due by the vehicle holders (art. 76a SVG)
